Keo Water Update
We apologize if you are noticing some slight discoloration in your water this morning.
The storms last week disrupted some of the automatic processes at the water plant, requiring us to operate portions of the plant manually. As a result, we have had some difficulty getting all of the naturally occurring iron removed from the water, which can cause a yellow or brown tint.
We are actively working at the plant to get everything back to normal. At this time, we are holding off on flushing the system because moving a large volume of water through the lines could stir up additional iron and make the discoloration worse rather than better. We’ll keep everyone informed as we monitor the situation.
